Privacy policy
Cleared to Send helps small businesses get cleared and stay compliant before they send SMS, WhatsApp, email and push. To do that we collect some information about your business. This page explains what we collect, why, where it lives, and how to have it deleted. Plain English, because that is our standard.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to build your registration package and keep you compliant:
- Your email. Entered when you start the registration flow or ask us to notify you. We save your progress against it.
- Business details. Legal business name, EIN (federal tax ID), business address, website, and the support contact you want on your HELP replies.
- Registration content. Your use case, opt-in method and consent language, the sample messages and HELP/STOP/privacy copy our engine generates, and your pre-submission audit result.
- Message drafts. Anything you paste or write into Send or Fix so we can check it for compliance and engagement.
- Submission outcomes. If you tell us whether a registration was approved or rejected, we store that answer and the rejection wording you paste in. This is how our audit gets more accurate over time.
- Account details. If you create an account, your email and a securely hashed password.
- Payment details. If you buy a credit or subscribe, our payment processor handles the transaction. We receive a record that you paid. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address and browser type to serve pages and keep the service secure.
We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site. We do not build advertising profiles about you.
Why we collect it
- To generate your 10DLC registration package and check your messages for compliance.
- To save your progress so you can leave and come back to it.
- To notify you when a rule changes that affects a registration you built with us.
- To provide support and, if you purchased, to process payment and honor your access.
We never sell or share your data for marketing
Your data, including your mobile and business information, is never sold and never shared with third parties for their marketing. This is the same standard carriers hold you to, and the same standard we tell you to meet. We hold ourselves to it too.
How your business data is stored and who can access it
Your EIN and business details are stored in our application database (Neon Postgres), reached through our hosting layer (Cloudflare). Access is limited to the operator of Cleared to Send and the infrastructure providers listed below, who process data on our behalf under their own terms. When you sign in, our access checks tie your saved registrations to your account so other users cannot read them.
We rely on the security practices of our hosting and database providers. We do not make specific claims about encryption standards, certifications, or independent audits that we cannot verify ourselves.
Third-party processors
These services process data on our behalf so the product can run. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery.
- Neon — the Postgres database that stores your registrations.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — powers the compliance and engagement engine. Your business details and message drafts are sent to it to generate and score your package.
- Resend — delivers the emails we send you (progress, rule changes, receipts).
- Stripe — processes payments if you buy a credit or subscribe.
Data retention and deletion
We keep registrations and unlocked exports so you can return to them. Signed-in users can delete an individual registration and its saved export, or delete their account and all Cleared to Send application data, from the Account page. Account deletion also ends an active subscription. Stripe may retain transaction records when required for financial, tax, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes.
You can also request deletion by emailing support@clearedtosend.com.
